Steam sterilisation

is the most used sterilisation method for reusable surgical material. This complex process needs fine controlls since only correct saturated steam can deliver the aimed transfer of enery.

 Bowie Dick (BD) Test Pack (2352)

The standardised BD test with a crisp color change from yellow to blue. Completely conform the regulations (ISO 11140-4 Type 2). The BD is also offered for some small steam sterilisers (type B & type S)(2358, 2365, 6536, 2356 & 2352). There is also a specific BD callibrated for the validation of  121°/8.3min cyclus (2310). Browne utilises the Intelligent Ink technique that is first absorbing all energy before showing a sudden crisp color change in a clear visible pattern.

Porous & Hollow Steam Penetration Test (AB101)

A unique patented sequential combination of the BD (porous load) and a hollow lumen test with a crisp color change from yellow to blue. The AB101 indicates that both porous load and hollow instruments are correctly processed and that air and other non condentional gasses are correctly removed.

   TST Load Check (3777, 3778, 3779 & 3783)

TST Load Check provides the confidense that a load may be cleared. Run the appropriate STF Load Check in between the load and read the color change after the process. TST Load Check is designed as a challenge to the process.

   TST Control Indicators 

Browne has a complete offer of  (2317, 2340, 3727, 2341, 2302, 2342, 3726, 3725, 3760, 3702, 3706 & 2375) Emulating Indicators complying ISO 11140-1 Type 6 criteria. Cycli at 134 and 121°, 3 to 18 minutes, some on a self adhesive carrier. A TST color change in the corresponding cycle proves the desired conditions were met. TST utilises the Intelligent Ink technique that is first absorbing all energy before showing a sudden crisp color change in a clear visible pattern. TST reacts to Time, Steam and Temperature.
