ArmGuard was developed to align with the AORN recommendation ‘not to tuck’ the arms. (wrap the arms in a blanket that is kept in place under the patient)

In contrast to tucking, ArmGuard:

  • can be installed alone
  • does not create pressure points under the patient
  • does not create neurological damage
  • give easy access to perfusion througouth the intervention
  • covers and protects the hand
  • does not compromise TOF
  • stabelize the patient in sidewards tilt

ArmGuard is kept in place by an L-shaped plastic placed under the table matress or is width-adaptable mounted on the side rail.
